Massey University Student Journey Mapping
Third Bearing undertook a student-centred design approach with Massey University’s Brand Marketing group to better understand the issues faced by students through enrolment and the first year of study.
Both distance and on-campus students were engaged in workshops to understand the journeys they took and how they interacted with key parts of university process. Four different decision-making approaches by students were identified and options presented on how the university process could be adapted to best respond to these, rather than applying a ‘one-size-fits-all-students’ approach.
