Wildbase Recovery Centre Establishment

Responsible for facilitating a wide range of stakeholder representatives including Rangitāne, Department of Conservation, Massey University, Palmerston North City Council and Rotary, Third Bearing completed the feasibility study for Palmerston North City Council to establish a highly successful recovery centre for native birds and fauna.

The recovery centre is associated with Massey University’s Wildbase Hospital and provides recuperation facilities for birds and fauna that have received treatment at Wildbase Hospital.  The facility is a significant development in the City’s premier public park and provides a unique environment for the public to view endangered native species close up and have an educational experience at the same time.
