PNCC MDC Shared Building Services Establishment

To fulfill its obligations under the Building Act 2004, Manawatū District Council entered into a cooperative agreement with Palmerston North City Council for the provision of contracted Building Consent Authority Services.

Thirdbearing was engaged by the councils to provide leadership and management of the project team. The work involved development of existing processes and systems into a form that was successfully transferred into an integrated building control and business systems framework. Also included was the development of the required competencies and commercial structure necessary to operate and maintain the undertakings of the agreement.
